Born in a Catholic hospital overlooking Biscayne Bay to Cuban parents in 1983, Gramatges Jordan began his creative career as a writer in his early twenties.
A published author and marketing professional by his late twenties, the artist began producing visual art pieces in 2012 with Portraits of Young Pride: Pridelines for Peace, a collaboration with Miami Beach Artist and Photographer Dale Stine.
Shortly thereafter, Stine and Jordan created an artistic collaborative, GRAMSTINE Art, under which they most recently presented MIAMI/2801, a digital photo collage series featuring architectural and natural landscapes shot in Miami.
In 2013 Jordan took up oil painting at Human Horizons Art School on Calle Ocho in West Miami. After a few classes taught by Cuban artists and instructors Alvaro and Antonietta, the artist began exploring abstract expressionism, geometric and post-apocalyptic themes in oil painting.
Working as a writer and graphic designer, Gramatges Jordan began The New Miamian, a literary and visual art studio in Miami Beach, Florida, in 2015 to document his artistic journey and the journeys of other Miamian artists.
